WEEKDAY DRIVE-THRU WINDOW SERVICES

Dear Community,

 

In response to the increase in COVID-19 cases in Coahoma County and Mississippi, and upon the recommendation of the Board of Trustees in an effort to help to keep all patrons and staff as safe as possible, all Saturday services are suspended until further notice. Drive-thru weekday services will continue Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. All on-site public programs and outreach remain suspended, however virtual summer reading activities/programs, crafting activities, and storytimes are posted on our Facebook and Youtube pages. 

 

The library has reviewed its operations and programs to determine how to best safeguard the health of the public and our staff while still delivering important services. Until further notice we are providing limited services and have implemented the practices below:

 

• Weekday drive-thru window services include checking out books and audio, office services, and take-home activity kits.

  • Book and audio services: To obtain service do one of the following: (1) Using your library card, request your item online by logging into your account at https://clarksdale.biblionix.com/catalog/, (2) Email your item request to cplclarksdale@gmail.co, (3) Call us at (662) 624-4461, or (4) Make your item request in person at the drive-thru window.

  • Office services (faxes, printing, photocopying, scanning, and laminating): To obtain service do one of the following: (1) Email your documents to cplclarksdale@gmail.com, (2) Request service in person at the drive-thru window, or (3) Call us at (662) 624-4461.

  • Take home crafting activities: After visiting our FaceBook or YouTube pages, below, determine your activity and do one of the following to pick up your item: (1) Call us at (662) 624-4461, (2) Email your item request to cplclarksdale@gmail.com, or (3) Request the item in person at the drive-thru window.

• Return dates on all items previously checked out have been extended.

• All fines have been waived during this time, however fees for lost books remain.

• Books can be returned through the book drop near the drive thru window - only.

• Digital services – e-books and audio books – are available for youth and adults. Click on Free Activities & Electronic Resources for a full listing of what’s available. Also view the various selections under More Free Electronic Resoucres in our Catalog.

• The Library is unable to accept donations of books and other items at this time.
